Julieta Heredia of Fin del Mundo, on stage with guitar, wearing blackJulieta Heredia is a founding member and guitarist of Fin del Mundo. The band is from Buenos Aires, with roots in the southernmost region of Patagonia. The music of Fin del Mundo uses melodies, lyrics, and instrumental passages to combine indie sounds with nuances of emotional post-rock. Their first songs were released in April 2020 and became the soundtrack for their days in isolation (the pandemic lockdown). The band says their second release explores directions that prove the “end of the world” is also the beginning of a new stage.

In this conversation, Julieta shares memories of her youth, the start-up of Fin del Mundo, the YouTube performance that’s taking the band to new heights, the evolution of their live shows, post-pandemic release promotion, bigger shows ahead, the messages of their music, and the band’s writing process.

Fin del Mundo appears to be riding a new wave of music. I hope you’ll support them by following and buying their music so they can make their way to North America soon. Please enjoy my conversation with Julieta Heredia of Fin Del Mundo.
